Some Mistissini kids are about to learn a hard lesson about surveillance cameras.
The Caisse Populaire in Mistissini was found covered in graffiti shortly after 8AM on the morning of January 10. Police tracked down the vandals because they appeared on the overhead camera in the building.
The alleged culprits cannot be identified because they are under the age of 18.
The Nation spoke with Calvin Blacksmith, Mistissini’s Police Chief, but not many details were known at the time. He could confirm however, that the monitor and keypad of the automatic teller was fully covered in spray paint.
The staff at the Caisse Populaire refused to comment.
