Just to let everyone know that for the first time a Mistissini juvenile broomball team was invited to participate in Quebec City in the Quebec Provincial Championship 1995, that took place April 14-16.
They entered in a contact category and they only had three weeks of practice of how to play contact and to try to get them ready. They played two games during the tournament. The first game they lost I -0 in overtime against Sud Ouest and the second game they lost 3-0 against Montreal.
It was a very good performance and we got good results from the organizing committee. We got invited to another tournament in Ste-Agathe August 25-27 and the North American Championship Dec. 8-10.
At this time we are in the planning stage of getting the “Cree Nation Team” to represent the Abitibi region.
