We, the students, staff, teachers and administration of Ecole Wabannutao Eeyou School in the Cree Nation of Eastmain, Quebec, Canada, are delighted to be able to take this opportunity to congratulate you today.
We would like you to know that your new administration with its focus on “Hope” and “Change”, as well as its respect for the opinions and contributions of all citizens, allows our students to dream bigger than ever before. Our young people here in the Cree Nation are very excited to know that their aspirations have no limits. Indeed, this week a number of them have announced their plans to become the Prime Minister of Canada!
“Yes we can!”
Thus, this focus resonates not only in the United States but all over the world, and especially here in Canada.
As a First Nations community, we often find ourselves underrepresented, as do many First Nations everywhere. And now, the eyes of the Youth of the world are on the United States and its new administration, and we look forward to your leadership and vision.
Please accept our most sincere congratulations as you are sworn in as the new President of the United States of America.
Respectfully yours,
The Staff and Students of
Ecole Wabannutao
