On Friday morning, August 7, Mistissini Police seized 100 grams of cocaine and 100grams of marijuana with a street value they estimate at $35,000. They also found13,000 dollars in cash at the scene of the arrest of a Mistissini resident.
Chief constable Michael Petawabano said that the investigation is currentlyongoing and he couldn’t give full details at this time. The seizure is the resultof a four-month investigation headed by Investigator Johnny Trapper
Chief constable Petawabano added that local police will continue to keep a close eyeon other suspected drug dealers and warns that illegal drugs and their use or salewill not be tolerated in Mistissini.
Police haven’t released the name of the arrested man as the suspect has yet to beformally charged.
