Canadian figure skating champion Elizabeth Manley will be the special guest skater at the upcomingice show to be put on by the Chisasibi Skating Club in April.
Manley is the last female skater to win any world or Olympic medal for Canada.
Also performing will be members of the club from the community.
The club was started after community members showed great interest in figure skating classes held inrecent years. There are already 120 members in the club. The club is open to skaters ages four and up.
Manley is expected to put on two performances, do a radio interview and autograph session, andvisit a Cree bush camp.
