Consumers are being warned by Schneider Foods to avoid eating certain lunch meat products that may contain dangerous bacteria. Schneider has listed five varieties of sliced meat, sold in 175-gram packages, that may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.
The packages that may have been contaminated, and were distributed nationally, are all stamped with a best before date of August 22. They include: Schneider’s Sliced Cooked Ham, UPC code 062000318288; Schneider’s Sliced Meat, Macaroni and Cheese Loaf, UPC code 062000315348; Schneider’s Sliced Mock Chicken Meat Loaf, UPC code 062000317397; Schneider’s Sliced Ham and Bacon Meat Loaf, UPC code 062000318950; Schneider’s Luncheon Meat Loaf, UPC code 062000315263.
