The Native American and Alaska Native population is going up, way up.
The numbers increased 15.5 percent to 2.3 million from 1990 to 1999, according to estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau last week.
The Asian and Pacific Islander population increased by 43 percent to 10.8 million, and the Hispanic population increased 38.8 percent to 31.3 million.
