The summer wedding season is about to get into full swing with many couples taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Getting ready for a wedding can get pretty stressful with all the planning involved and coordinating needed. So how is a newly engaged couple going to handle such a daunting task?

A good place to start would be the recently opened Galerie du Mariage. Located in downtown Montreal, at the corner of St. Catherine and Mansfield streets, the gallery conveniently houses all of the necessary wedding services from photographers and videographers to exquisite designer wedding dresses.

With only a few short weekend wedding expos in the city every year, having access to all of these vendors in one location throughout the year will definitely streamline the planning process of all couples.

Along with catering to couples planning weddings, Galerie du Mariage is also the perfect place for service providers who are interested in promoting their company year-round.

Couples can always stop by and take a tour of the gallery showcasing all of the services they have available. With three floors, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to the planning your perfect wedding. Make sure to check out the catering section with the sampling of delicious cupcakes.

Every aspect of the wedding is covered in the gallery from the flowers, venue and décor to the actual wedding ring. Company executive Stacey May Nolan said, “Who wants to drive all over the place checking out the different vendors?”

Now with all of this convenience available let’s not forget about who really the wedding is about and that is the bride. Now every woman should look like a princess on her wedding day and with the designs of Mila Rivkin, the in-house wedding dress designer, that dream can become true.

Featured in all of the major wedding magazines in Canada, Rivkin’s designs easily stand out with their intricate designs and embroidering. In her studio, the bride is the centre of attention. Standing in the centre of a runway with a huge mirror at the end, the studio on the second floor of the gallery is designed to make her look and feel like a princess.

Emigrating to Canada from Latvia 15 years ago, Rivkin brought her education at the Académie des Beaux Arts as a designer to her work here in Montreal. She was recognized for her design work in 2010 when she won the Prestige Award celebrating her work for the Bless’k Musical Theatre Company where she designed hundreds of costumes.

Planning for your wedding doesn’t have to be stressful and with the convenience of Galerie du Mariage it can be done in no time. The experienced staff will guide any visiting couples around the three floors of booths helping them choose what is right for them in line with their budget constraints. When visiting it is also a good opportunity to pick up the catalogues and brochures that they provide to get a head start on your planning.

So if you’re ready to take the plunge, make sure to arrange an appointment for a private consultation and you’ll be well on your way to your dream wedding.
